Beware of Look-Alikes & Imitators

 

It is said “Imitation is the highest form of flattery. But we feel it is identity theft”. This quote totally resonates with Team TermiPore. Like all famous and successful brands, TermiPore is also facing such problems of imitation; and such instances are increasing not just in India but in other countries too!

To cite a few examples, some brand has coined their brand name that sounds very similar to TermiPore, some have imitated the color-lines that we have on our pipes for various pipe sizes, one service provider has even copied text content and pictures from our website and social media posts; to cover our water marks they have superimposed another company’s brand name over it. The amusing thing is, in the process they missed replacing our watermark in some places and TermiPore brand name is clearly visible! We also came across an instance where the client was shown TermiPore pipes, but at the time of installation they found few rolls of another company on site. They were lucky to be present on-site during installation, else they would never have known about this. At this point we would like to add that the green line on the pipe is a registered design of TermiPore and many others are using and copying it, but that does not mean it is TermiPore Pipe. While we are definitely very concerned about the damage this can cause to our brand, we are equally concerned about our clients too. We want to try all that we can, to enable our clients to detect fake from real and ensure that they buy genuine TermiPore products. Afterall it is a matter of protecting their precious and invaluable properties.

We want to educate our clients how to identify genuine brand TermiPore. Every TermiPore Roll has the following:

1)      QR Code Sticker: When you scan this code, it takes you to TermiPore website where you will be informed if what you have is genuine TermiPore or not. This sticker will also mention the pipe size, to enable you to ensure you have got the size you have ordered. (Pic 2)

QC Reading Sticker: This sticker mentions the flow rate during injection for that particular roll. (Pic 3)

TermiPore has very stringent quality control systems in place, and you may be aware that every TermiPore Roll is tested for various quality parameters before dispatch. 3)    Yellow Sticker: This sticker lists the important Dos and Don’ts of Installation (Pic 4)


4)   TermiPore Stamp: Furthermore, please look for WWW.TERMIPORE.COM that is stamped on the pipe at regular intervals.  (Pic 5)
